I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words...

Beware, you may see this entry twice.Andrew Kendall needs help. Even if you don't know his name, you probably know his work. He's one of the premiere music photographers out there. In fact, he's so good that when he applied to university at 19, they asked him to be a prof there instead. Take a minute to think about that. I can't imagine what it must have been like...Andrew- "Hey, can I please attend your school?"University- "No. We'd rather you teach here".At any rate, his (very expencive) camera gear has been stolen and his insurance isn't paying for it. He's started selling prints in order to buy new gear.Click here to get more infoIn other photo news, I've rediscovered my love of the art. It's been nice to get back into it again. I've also rediscoverd my hate of felines [Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<sp?>') in entry. Owner must fix manually. It's been nice to get back into it again. I've also rediscoverd my hate of felines <sp?>. I'm living with two and I wouldn't be altogether bothered if they both chose to drown in the tiolet tomorrow.Today, after a meeting with a client, I stopped into a nearby mall to grab a cup of coffee. The Christmas decorations were all up. Ridiculously huge, shiny green and red balls were everywhere. Santa had also already taken his seat. But, come on, it's not Thanksgiving yet. Most people like to wait until it's actually within a month of the holiday to take the tots to see him. So, rather bored I assume, he called out to one of the elves that he needed a break. She asked why, and he pretended to smoke a cigarette. That single gesture bothered me to no end.I know that the classic image has Santa smoking a pipe, but it seems like the guy could have just stood up, walked over, and told her less publicly that he needed a smoking break. Maybe I'm just being sensitive over the issue. And they all lived happily ever after. The End.

This is the first day of my life. I'm glad I didn't die before I met you.

I'm at work on a ridiculously late lunch. EDITED Text deleted. Mostly because it made me feel like a headcase.< edit/ >I have like 3 more hours here. I think I'll pass the time with my door shut. And maybe I'll duck out a little early as well. We'll see.I wish I was still at school. I miss the student center and the huge computer lab there. It was just the right kind of quite so I could just write for hours. I need to find a free wifi coffee shop or something out here. Something better than the one I used all summer. It's turning cold and, like every year before, I miss last year. I wasn't happy last year and I think overall I'm better off now than I was, but.... I don't know. I guess nothing's felt familiar from one year to the next for a little too long. And we're coming up on the nostalgic holidays.*sigh*I promise I'll be out of this funk by the drive home.PS- I'd really like another alum to join the PK team. It doesn't exactly seem like a challenge for so many recent alums to debate the actives. Sooo... any alumni here, please join up? I'll put in my time in a few years when the actives have forgotten my first name.

Announcing an announcement!

I just walked into my bosses office to ask for a promotion. And I got it!*jumps around*Ok ok, I know that I had been talking about this for a while, but part of me was a little nervous that they still wouldn't give it to me. Now it's just a matter of finishing up a little training.YAY.This is exciting, in case you didn't know.It also means that I'll be working muchmuchmuch more for a few weeks. I'll sort of be pulling double hours. The position that I have now is straight salary. The one I'm moving up to is commission. So to keep from running the risk of being utterly pennyless for several weeks, I've decided to just work my 40 with one position and 20 or so with the other. That way, it's a cleaner shift.Excitement! And the new paygrade will come just in time for the holidays! With a little luck, it could be a really nice christmas.

I eat rolaids like candy!

Acid reflux up to my teeth. hurts. So yes, it has in fact been a long time.I am very bad at remembering to log into this journal.Don't hate!I guess there's quite a bit to report, huh?Well, I'm a loan officer in training now. I'm doing half time processing to learn everything. Not exactly 'fun'. But the money's ok and the people are great.I'm moving on Saturday, (well, Sunday really). I'll move in with Jessy and Erin. Our place will be slamin'!And yes, there will in fact be a party. Don't worry, you're all on The List.CSI is addictive. So is Harry Potter.I read the most recent book in a startlingly short amount of time. So, no, John. You can't spoil the book for me. =PBut I saw the ending coming. I figured it would happen last book. I liked this one MUCH better than that last one as well.Hm. That's more than enough for now.And I'm off to buy more antacids.

Will Smith's new song sounds like that Mambo song...

Ew. Food poisoning. Not fun kids. Not at all.So... The 4th was a bit of a bust. I was invited to a party, but I ended up getting roped into 'family' holiday stuff. The worst part is, my dad and his fiancee had a fight. We never did celebrate Ben's birthday. On a side note, when he was a kid, he thought that the fireworks were for him!Anyway, our fireworks were rained out and the day overall was, at best, slow. It was nice to see my nephew though. That kid is so big now! He's talking alot and getting into EVERYTHING. I'm house sitting today, watching the dogs, making the place look lived-in. This place is huge and really empty when it's just me and the animals. So I've been sleeping downstairs on the sofa because I'm just much more comfortable downstairs here than up. Plus, if a dog needs to go out, I'm not that far away! Well last night with the food poisoning, I didn't get to sleep until REALLY late. And this morning, at 8am, there's this pounding on the door! The dogs go nuts, barking, howling, scratching... And I kind of roll out of bed and sit on the floor. I don't want to answer it in my pj's and home alone. But they persist, so I finally relent. It's the cleaning people. They're only comeing one day this week and it was supposed to be Friday. But they were in the area and... Yeah. Scared the shit out of me though.

I've broken that blind kids nose like 10 times!

There is a HUGE bug on my blinds. It looks like an enormous firefly. And I do not like it. Not one bit.So I decided to kill it. But I couldn't find the HotShot. Sooo... After a few minutes of searching under the sink all I was able to come up with was some bug repellent. If you hit a giant firefly with bug repelent, it gets VERY upset! And it tries not to touch itself.I used so much that it dripped all down the slats of the blinds.THEN I found the HotShot. It's for roaches, but I figured spray a buggy long enough it'll go away. But, um, it hasn't. I don't think it's long for this world, but it's definately still here for now.Other than that, I've been a busy little panda. I'm moving into a house with two friends and I've been home-hunting. And job hunting! Two interviews on Monday!
